The Cavaliers home is now officially Quicken Loans Arena, or “The Q”.
The Grammy-winning Black Eyed Peas helped thousands of visiting Quicken Loans employees christen The Q in Cleveland Saturday night.
The Black Eyed Peas’ hip-hop, party hit “Let’s Get it Started!” symbolized the official name change from Gund Arena to Quicken Loans Arena, or The Q for short.
Event staff tried the name on for size, greeting concertgoers with “Welcome to The Q!”
Sounds like a great time, besides people screaming in your face when walking in. We still like our idea more, but Dan Gilbert continues to impress overall.
By the way, we know what you’re wondering, and no, we have no idea if “The Q” has gay connotations. When people ask us if we like it, we’re going to pretend we’re really busy with some documents or faxes or conference calls, and then hope they go away.
