The 05-06 Trailblazers are #5

by The Cavalier on September 26, 2005

blazerslogo04.jpgSouth Korean Ha Seung-Jin returns to anchor the middle for the Blazers, who have become affectionately known in recent years as the HailBlazers, as in angelic, pure, and well-behaved.

Darius Miles should continue barreling his way to the Hall of Fame. The young man every coach adores teams up with Zach Randolph to form a front line known for smart play and hard work, not to mention bargain contracts. Ruben Patterson humbly comes off the bench, his motto being “say little, be kind to employees”.

The backcourt of Sebastian Telfair and free agent signee Juan Dixon bring years of experience and court savvy, with 4,381 games of playoff experience between them.

New coach Nate McMillan, as expected, walked away from a mess in Seattle to come over to a much better, more stable situation with the Blazers. He should experience nothing but fun victories. The fans in Portland love what this team has done recently, and don’t want a thing to change.

Predicted record: 56-26
