Ron Artest is promoting his album
Published by The Cavalier October 12th, 2005 in Indiana Pacers
We’re not buying into this for a second:
“I’m going to continue playing hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in,” Artest said Tuesday night before the Indiana Pacers faced the New Jersey Nets in the preseason opener for both teams. “I’ll let the referees handle it.”
The game was Artest’s first NBA action since a melee near the end of a game against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace at Auburn Hills last Nov. 19 led to one of the worst brawls in American sports history.
We’re sure everyone in both the Pacer and NBA offices is thrilled to hear this. Even more thrilled are the girls of Allure, and any other artists on Ron’s record label.
Like Dennis Rodman before him, Ron is using his crazy-guy act for self-promotion. Being that we’re the 2nd largest basketball website in the universe, we’re taking a stand. After this post, we’re not going to mention Ron Artest again for the entire season. No matter what.
