wyle.jpgWe told you so. The Suns announced today that Amare Stoudamire will be out for 4 months following microfracture surgury on his knee.

“The surgery went well and other than the defect that we treated today, Amare’s knee is remarkably and structurally healthy,” [Dr.] Carter said in the statement released by the team. “Given Amare’s age and the nominal size of the location of the defect, I am confident the microfracture procedure performed will allow a healthy and normal return to action.”

The PHX squad is going to look all different now, what with Joe Johnson playing the point for the Hawks and Quentin Richardson no longer dating Brandy. Hopefully Steve Nash isn’t too busy slinging Canadian computers, because he suddenly has absolutely everything on him for awhile.

Amare should be back in January, although we wouldn’t bank on that, considering yesterday they were saying this was no big deal. Besides that, the Suns put the health of their franchise’s knees in the hands of a character from a TV show. You’d think they would go to a real doctor with this.
