Shaq Knight.jpgWe have to thank Perc on our Readers blog for giving us our new favorite all-purpose phrase. If we can one day find a way to use “dance in the back” and “go Philly” all in one post, we’ll probably retire on the spot.

Regardless, the concoction of players in Miami may be hitting its first stumble, after committing 25 turnovers in their second straight loss Saturday night.

‘’We’re going to have to fight for our season and for putting our team together,'’ [Coach Stan] Van Gundy said. “It’s not going to be an easy thing.

“This is, hopefully, rock bottom. We just have to start bringing it up.'’

‘’Everybody’s trying to go one-on-one, and we’ve got to get it changed,'’ Van Gundy said. “There’s no excuse, even early, for that kind of play. We’ve just got to take responsibility for it, and this is where we are right now.”

It’s surprising, because the last thing anybody thinks about the Heat is that there won’t be enough shots to go around; even the kids know that! We tend to think the biggest problem they have is Shaq trying to defend against point guards. He’s a center. C’mon Stan, you know this stuff.

Tim Potvak of the Orlando Sentinel also thinks there are problems, but he’s part of that whole Central/South Florida gang war scene, so who knows.
