Last time we checked in with the NBA Blog Squad, we came out of it with some serious knowledge. As training camp is essentially upon us, we look to Squad anchor (and Frenchman) George Eddy to help us say goodbye to summer by rounding up Eurobasket 2005:

J’aime crepes! Ils sont les meilleurs! Mmmm! Ils sont si délicieux ils fondent dans ma bouche! Oooh la la! Pour manger crepes est comme un rêve! Partons au magasin! Nous mangerons des gâteaux!

Il est tout merveilleux! Ils ont le vin dans le NBA? ! Je découvrirai! Le football est pour des sèches! J’aime tout! Regard! Je suis un Français! Wheee! Quand soyez crepes!?

We’re sure there’s plenty you’ll be taking from that and using when you go talk hoops over a few beers with the boys this morning. (Or this evening, depending on your level of alcoholism. Oh, and if you’re not an alchoholic, just what are you doing here?)

Here’s the real nugget to walk away with though - George Eddy is actually American, was born and raised in Florida, is like a major hero over in France, and in Serbia and Montenegro, a blocked shot is called a “banana”.
