Kobe’s tights were in full effect last night, although honestly we were hoping for more. With the Lakers in their home/Sunday whites, we were counting on white tights. No deal – not that it stops us from imaginationizing it above.
Still wanting/needing to know what’s up with this, we placed a call to the Lakers themselves and spoke with Anna in media relations. When asked about the tights issue, we heard a small chuckle and were put on hold. Maybe this is because our question was “What’s the official company line on Kobe’s lederhosen?”
When she returned, Anna said that they are indeed to keep his legs warm. When asked if there would be gold tights to go with the gold unis, Anna paused and said “I don’t know.”
We can hope.
