Las Vegas has a few things going for it

SacTownRoyalty is on the offensive, fighting early and often to keep any sort of real development from happening in the “Kings-to-Las-Vegas” movement. We admire the effort, and would hate to see Sacramento lose their team – after all, we’re somewhat familiar with the feeling. The Kings’ owners, the Maloof brothers, who double as the people we want to be more than anyone ever, are planting quite the seeds in Las Vegas, however.

As everyone knows, the Maloofs own the Palms Hotel and Casino, and just last month they officially opened the Hardwood Suite, which quite frankly kicks ass.

It’s fully loaded. Sensational showers, flat screen TVs everywhere, a pool, a PlayStation…. a basketball court? Yep, that’s not a typo.

If you want to spend the night in the suite of basketball opulence, get ready to pay. It’s $50,000 a night. At two levels and 10,000 square feet, there’s plenty of attention to detail such as basketball style leather walls and a privacy couch.

The privacy couch is really what sold us. There’s a video tour here, which is currently down, unfortunately. We can tell you the doors were like 15 feet high, and there were cheerleader/strippers just hanging around, presumably waiting for a turn on the privacy couch. (Remember, “cheerleaders” are legal in Vegas.) We’re pretty sure the reporter took a whirl on the privacy couch, too. Tons pictures here, as well.

All of that said, we’re behind you all the way, Tom. Let us know if you need anything in the way of Photoshop work, word spreading, or slander.
