We told you about Globetrotter, and if you haven’t been yet, you really need to go see this. Apparently Illini alum Luther Head has a developing fan-base that cheers for their hero to get some playing time, much to the confusion of poor Jeff Van Gundy.
I went to a Rockets preseason game last month. We were up by 15 points late in the 3rd qtr. and Luther Head had yet to see any playing time. All of the sudden a large echo of fans began chanting ” WE WANT HEAD, We want head!”. Van Gundy didnt realize the humor behind it until after one of our players kindly explained what the underlying meaning was. I agree, I will be buying a Head jersey in the near future.
Globetrotter has some links to a few message boards, one of which has a fan who really wants some Head. Also, save the emails that the picture up there is suggestive in any way. This is just a post about a neat fan club for the kids we heard about, okay?
As a complete aside…yes, we know all about Stephon Marbury passive-aggressively asking Larry Brown to move him to shooting guard and all that crap falling out of LB’s mouth, but we’re plain old Knicked-out this week. Have a head-tastic weekend!
