The Blazers are paranoid

TrueHoop, in their Tuesday bullets, points us over to Oregon Live’s Blazer blog for the strange story of the team buying up domain names that could possibly bash the team.
I reported in a column a while back that the Blazers themselves owned a fistful of other anti-Blazers Internet domain names including Blazerssuck.org, ihatetheblazers.org and JailBlazers.org.
Well, you might remember that the person who owned the domain named www.blazerssuck.com was selling it on EBAY a while ago. Well, I’m here to report the auction was ended early and the Blazers are now listed as the registrant.
Being that we’re always smelling money even where there isn’t any, we went ahead and reserved some more domains that Portland may want to scoop up before we use them for our own nefarious means:
