We’re not sure what they normally cover, but something called the “Atlanta Hawks Blog” recently had a post titled “Hawks Got Killed Again” that sums up the happenings with the team so far:
The Hawks need to track wins and losses in several columns: competitive wins and losses vs. blowout losses. Because we seem to be having a few blowout losses.
Now obviously I’m not an NBA analyst, but it seems to me that your team *consistently* gets thrashed and outperformed in the 3rd quarter, right after halftime, there is something your coach is not doing right. When Woodson says stuff to the effect that nobody on the team was doing anything right, either nobody on the team cares what he says or he is a horrible coach. We have a very young team, and nobody on the court has previously established themselves as a “smart” or “coachable” player [snip]
Luckily, not all Hawks fans are feeling so down and out. Now, one would think that the blogosphere would be a bit more harsh than any given team’s hometown paper (outside NY), but the Atlanta Journal Constitution is piling on, saying that Josh Smith is in love with himself and early-season players-only meetings are “a bad sign”.
The Hawks themselves just want to move on from their “little soap opera” the ownership had this summer, and that’s…aw…shit.
Look – all anyone wants to talk about (including us) is Drew Rosenhaus going insane, Terrell Owens’ fake apologies, and drunk bisexual bathroom cheerleaders. Just go. We won’t feel bad.
