While True Hoop is discussing who the next Michael Jordan is (which might also make The Cavalier mad, since True Hoop says it’s Dwyane Wade and not LeBron James), Wade’s jersey – and not LeBron’s - is the #1 seller in the NBA at NBA.com and the NBA Store in New York (and I’m pretty sure it’s not the retro jerseys they sported the other night in Shaq’s return):
The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade moved up eight spots to the top of the NBA’s most popular jersey list replacing teammate Shaquille O’Neal. The Philadelphia 76ers’ Allen Iverson, Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, New York Knicks’ Stephon Marbury and Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant round out the top five on the NBA’s list of most popular player jerseys. The rankings are based on sales at the world’s only NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City and NBAStore.com since the start of the 2005-06 NBA preseason.
I’m not totally shocked that Wade is #1, I actually see more Wade than LeBron jerseys *ducks the attempted punch by The Cavalier* these days. I am, however, shocked (in the John Hollinger SHOCKED way to read this):
The Miami Heat moved up three spots to No. 1 on the league’s list of most popular team merchandise, surpassing the Los Angeles Lakers, who led the league in team sales the three previous years. Reebok is the official on-court apparel provider for the NBA.
Looks like the nation has a new team, and it’s name is the Miami Heat *ducks another attempted punch by The Cavalier*
I swear I’m not trying to get fired, but all the news I’m reading today is probably just gonna make The Cavalier mad. It’s a good thing he’s not reading this!
