Holiday Countdown Day 10 EXPLOSIONS 12.16.05

Whatever this 2-day cold/flu thing everyone in Los Angeles has is, we caught it. What you see above is the result of how sick and delirious we were last night. We kept the bottle of echinacea next to the bed – if we ever feel something coming on, we pop like 20 a day and it’s gone. Anyway, at some point we woke up and thought “more echinacea…” and proceeded to not drink from the bottle of water we had, but to pour the bottle of water into the bottle of pills, and then try to drink the bottle of pills.

Realizing what we’d done but not fully aware yet, we used our hand to strain the water out of the bottle of pills. We did all of this while still in bed. In the end, we have a bunch of echinacea pills stuck together, and it looks like we wet our bed.

Phil Jackson (do we need to say “lakers coach”?) was fined by the NBA for making comments about wanting Raptors PF Chris Bosh.

The Hornets will return to Louisiana tonight for the first time since Katrina. OKC is jealous, but is going to distract itself by romancing the Sonics for a night.

Crap. Guys and girls and that dog who reads the site, it’s been a long week and we really feel awful. We forgot to send out today’s cards. Sonia got yesterday’s right AGAIN. Here’s the new composite:

New standings are: Sonia (10), Jamie M. (1), PP-Dice (1), Matt T. (2). We’ll add today’s to the composite Monday. No contest going on for Friday, but the first person to email us something that makes us laugh gets the points.

Congrats to Howard Stern. We’ll go out and get our Sirius equipment right after we figure out how to consume this glob of pills. We’re not done today, but we’re going to lie down and freestyle for a bit.
