Reigning NBA MVP Steve Nash won a conch shell for being named this year’s top Canadian athlete. As expected, the PHXPG acted all humble and nice before retreating to his secret Canadian headquarters to do secret Canadian things.
“It’s a huge compliment to be chosen by numerous people for this award,” Nash said in an interview from Phoenix. “I feel in some ways it’s awkward to be singled out, just because there are so many Canadians doing so many terrific and special things in the world of sport.
“I wish that everyone could share it. But it’s very humbling and exciting to be mentioned.”
