Find the hidden meaning!Power forward Drew Gooden is on Jim Rome’s ESPN show at this very moment discussing the Cavaliers, who have the second best record in the East. Drew is playing a big part in the season, despite the occasional ill-advised attempt to lead the fast-break and other moves indicative of a slight case of ADD.

Drew says he’s happy in Cleveland but is naturally curious about what else is out there (he’s a free agent this summer). This is just us reading his tone of voice and his demeanor, but he’s bitter about all the trade rumors going on around him. He said something about this being a business “like I said.” Except he hadn’t said that yet. That’s what you get for trying to force the cliches, Drew. Anyway, he’s a nice guy – we think he’s an underappreciated piece of the Cleveland puzzle, provided he can be satisfied with his rebounder/#4 scorer role.

We have to admit something here. Jim Rome had an incredible influence on our life. It was about 1999 or so, and we were hearing things about trades or something, or it might’ve been the new Star Wars movie. Anyway, for some reason, we ventured around the dial of Cleveland AM radio and heard the term “Pasty Gangster” for the first time. We immeditely knew this man was talking about John Stockton. This might have been because he said “The Pasty Gangster is John Stockton, for you new listeners”.

The point is, after that day, we vowed to never, ever grow a goatee.
