There are big trade rumors, blockbuster trade rumors, and then…? Then there are Mark Blount-for-Michael Olowokandi trade rumors. The Celticsblog nearly exploded yesterday from the nervousness over possibly losing one of their most important* players. Mark Blount, for one, is remaining calm – he’s ready to go if the move happens.

”If I get traded, I get traded,” said Blount. ”What can I do? There’s nothing I can do about it. I just go, move on, get ready to play with my new team, my coaching staff, and just go from there.”

”I just do my job,” said Blount. ”I just go out there and do my thing. I ain’t worrying about nothing.

”I just go out there and be an offensive threat down there in the post, go down there shoot my hooks, and my turnarounds and do my thing. If I play, I play. I start. I come off the bench. It’s whatever.”

If you aren’t familiar with the feeling, that’s known as an intense, burning desire to succeed. If Mark Blount is moved, and takes his hooks and turnarounds to Minnesota, look for the internet itself to shake to its core, which is located somewhere in upper Michigan, if we remember correctly.

* “Important” as used here is defined as “unimportant”, “overpaid”, and/or “randy”.
