Morris Peterson is a hero

Vince Carter hit a big shot at the buzzer to put away the Raptors in Toronto last night. While normally this would leave Canada reeling, last night was special. Morris Peterson flat-out slapped Vince across the face, which is really even better and more degrading than the solid ass-kicking he deserves. These quotes from the Nets after the game shed furthur light on why Vince Carter should jump off a cliff.

“He’s been off the charts,” Kidd said. “And there is no better place for him to make a big shot.”

“To stick a dagger in their heart right when they thought they were going to win it, it don’t get no better than that. That’s sweet revenge,” New Jersey’s Lamond Murray said.

Maybe we’re crazy, but did the Raptors screw over Vince Carter somehow? As we remember it, Vince acted like a child and stopped playing hard so blatantly they threw him on the bench. Shortly thereafter, he got traded to New Jersey and averaged 27 a game. Just what is he avenging here?

Whatever – Mo Pete spoke for Canada last night, and did so wearing one of those Underarmorish tank-tops that are getting around. How long before someone shows up for a game in a full skiing uniform?

How dare the Raptors ask Vince to to try to play to even 80% of his level. How random that he exploded again when he was dealt. Poor Vince.
