All-Star 1-on-1: Allen Iverson (2) vs Paul Pierce (10)

Here comes Round 2 – sorry it’s up a little late, but we were busy making oatmeal for the homeless.

It’s Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce going at it first – who’s going to win? It’s probably all up to Celticsblog and GetBuckets (you’ll always be GetBuckets to us, buddy), isn’t it?

Round 2 is where things really kick into high gear, because that’s what happens in Round 2. It’s all very circular.

The Answer vs The Truth for a trip to the semi-finals – who you got?

Vote early, because we said so.

Way to try to skew the votes with the silky smooth AI holier-than-thou photoshopped Reebok ad face and a grainy, CourtTV Pierce looking like he’s giving a video deposition for the Kobe trial.

You’re just lucky Jeff is missing today…

one post on CB.com and boom…bye bye AI.

Pierce is so underrated and one of the best two or three one on one players in the league. He has a great mid range game, great outside game, can take it to the hole, is extremely durable and clutch. Pierce.

No more play-by-play for me.

But I do have to say, PAUL PIERCE!!!

There is a defense planned.

I’ve managed to save up roughly $46160 in my bank account, but I’m not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?

All-Star 1-on-1: Allen Iverson (2) vs Chris Bosh (15)

With 66% of the vote, Dwyane Wade moved into the next round over Ray Allen. You guys really got that one wrong – Ray has major size over Dwyane, plus the jumper. He can just shoot over him. Dwyane may get around him, but with Allen’s length, he’s still going to affect any shots he gets off.

Somebody please explain the other side’s argument to us, ’cause we don’t get it.

Today we get our first real oddball matchup with AI vs the Human Raptor. Cast your votes, and send in your dollars.

Allen Iverson or Chris Bosh – who’s moving on?

(15) Chris Bosh

That whole “send in your dollars” thing is serious. Give us money – you need no reason, you bitter bastards. Here is the updated tourney bracket.

Ray Allen can’t defend anyone plus he doesn’t have any strength and couldn’t do anything without some screens and yellow and green are stupid colors anyway everyone knows that seattle is a cold nasty gray and they should be the seattle ugly gray rain all the times anyway

18 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 11:07 am

I voted $52 on your poll.

19 JONESONTHENBA February 8, 2006 at 11:43 am

It’s basically turning into a popularity contest. Look at the Votes for VC vs. Gilbert Arenas. You can’t tell me VC would not open up a can on Arenas. As for Ray Allen, these guys obviously have not seen He Got Game!

who votes in polls? just sign the guestbook like the other 3 people, none of whom are my mom

21 tru$t February 8, 2006 at 12:17 pm

you pricks. if you don’t want people to vote just so you can declare who’s going to win the matchups, then don’t hold polls. i voted for wade because his mid range game is better, he works harder to get to the hoop, and plays better d.

22 the sockk February 8, 2006 at 12:35 pm

I voted for Wade because he never dyed his hair blond.

23 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 1:10 pm

TRU$T some people would say I’m trying to spur discussion, but you are right, I’m just a prick.

After being chased off the court by Bosh, AI hides in a kitchen. Bosh finally figures out how to open the doors and thinks he has AI. However, it is just AI’s reflection on a kitchen cabinet’s metal door. Bosh hits his head on the cabinet door and AI gets away.

Bosh is later eaten by a T-Rex in the entrance of the museum.

Several years later, the NBA creates a expansion franchise known as the Winnipeg Boshes.

26 Josh February 8, 2006 at 3:18 pm

I heard that Brandon Dean Price is a bitch

27 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 4:18 pm

44-40 Iverson as of right now – this one is interesting.

28 Chris February 8, 2006 at 5:19 pm

How the hell is this so close? AI in a walk.

29 indomitus February 8, 2006 at 5:44 pm

Chris Bosh has like 14 feet on AI. If he gets a foot in the paint, the contest is over. He’ll just keep hucking short jumpers over AI or taking it to the rim. If Bosh makes the first bucket, he can keep rolling from there.

Oh and what the heck is with the lack of info on the rules? I mean is this make-a-bucket, take-a-bucket, do they have to clear outside the 3, loser gets the basket…c’mon Cav.

Bosh by a mile. Only because that’s the best chance of Pierce making it to the Semis.

30 Brandon Dean Price February 8, 2006 at 5:55 pm

josh who?

31 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 8:00 pm

Dude it’s winner’s outs & of course they have to clear outside three. What kind of 1-on-1 do you play?

I almost did All-Star 4-Square. Maybe that would’ve been a better idea.

32 Brandon Dean Price February 8, 2006 at 8:11 pm

when is the offical yaysports 1 on 1 tourney starting?

33 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 9:12 pm

I’ll take on any of you.

34 the sockk February 8, 2006 at 9:49 pm

Why does Chris Bosh get to have so many teeth and AI only gets that headband?

35 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 10:44 pm

You know that’s not really Chris Bosh, right?

36 Brandon Dean Price February 8, 2006 at 11:05 pm

Can we hold the tourney at Baylor? we have 4 courts, and it’s not like our mens’ team is using them.

PS is this the most commenting ever?

PSS I get ball first

37 the sockk February 8, 2006 at 11:23 pm

That isn’t Chris Bosh? Why do you do these things to me?

38 The Cavalier February 8, 2006 at 11:43 pm

This one had like 60-some for some reason, plus all the spam:
