All-Star 1-on-1: Gilbert Arenas (4) vs Tracy McGrady (5)

by The Cavalier on February 13, 2006 · 2 comments

gilbert arenas 3.jpgThis is simply an awesome matchup.

McGrady has an obvious size (and probably skills) advantage, but personally, we think the dude from Washington can make him fold.

We love watching Gilbert Arenas play – he’s got an energy and personality on the court that’s infectious. Pair that up with Tracy McGrady and his perpetual depression, and you’ve got an emotional game.

The four vs five seed is always interesting. We remember when we ran this tourney back in 1993 and paired Dominique Wilkins and Karl Malone. Same thing. Excitement vs angst.

Gilbert and Tracy are going at it. Pick one.

All-Star 1-on-1: Gilbert Arenas (4) vs Vince Carter (13)

It’s the first matchup of round 1 – Vince vs Gilbert.

Go here if you don’t know what the hell we’re talking about. Remember the round 1 rules – game is to 7 and…that’s the only rule.

This is a nice matchup – the bowler vs the crybaby hypocrite. Air Crapada has an obvious size and strength advantage, while Arenas is 4000% more likable. We’ll reveal who we voted for tomorrow – you can log your vote below.

Don’t forget to spread word to David Stern if you happen to know him!

Who wins this game of one-on-one?

Daaayyyyaaaaammmmnnn. Arenas gains possession after Carter hooks him up with a no look behind the back pass pictured above. Ooooooooo and then Arenas then shoots a two-handed knuckle-ball from three point land, also pictured above, and holds up the retarded form after sinking the shot for the win. Awwshuum.

This is the perfect event for Vince:

No big men on the court => he wouldn’t be afraid to drive the lane.
No coach => he can jack up fadeaway 25-footers with impunity.
Everyone would be watching => he would try his hardest.

Carter 7, Arenas 4

How in the hell is Gilbert beating VC? Are you people crazy? I know peopled don’t like VC because of his girlie ways, but he is a much better one on one player than Gilbert Arenas.
