LeBron and Jason Richardson met up for real over the weekend to go right along with Friday’s 1-on-1 game. LBJ outscored him both times, although the Cavaliers were all lacklustery and again lost to an undermanned, struggling team at home.
We’re an idiot, and even we get it – TRY HARDER and STOP SHOOTING SO MANY THREES.
That’s not why we’re here, however. Round one ended with LeBron beating Richardson and 16 seed Kevin Garnett taking out Kobe Bryant, perhaps angering Mamba enough to ditch the bowtie and toupee for the afterparty.
This is your bracket after Round 1.
It’d be at this point in our version of All-Star Saturday Night that Beyonce or Kanye West would come out and sing a non-threatening version of one of their songs. Kenny and Charles would analyze round two, and Jim Grey would interview Kobe. Wouldn’t this be the best? Email your favorite authority figure and tell them about it.
Here’s the schedule for the week: 2 games today, 2 tomorrow, semi-finals (2 more games) Wednesday, and the Finals will be early Thursday, with the results and trophy presentation on Friday, just in time for All-Star Weekend.
