Antoine Walker is clutch like Old Spice

old spice.jpgDid you see how fast ‘Toine ran out there and congratulated Dwyane Wade after #3 hit that game-winner over the Pistons with 2.3 left on the clock? It was almost as fast as we got that Photoshopped pic up about Apolo Ohno falling down, or the amazing speed of our other shameless plugs we’re going to do for the Olympic blog.

Dwyane was literally amazing, scoring the Heat’s last 17 points and pulling them from 7 down in the fourth for a tough win, one of the few Miami has had over the elite teams of the league. If you didn’t see this, you’re not as dedicated to watching amazing things as you should be.

Ladies and gentlemen, let the Pistons backlash begin. Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace:

“The Heat might look at this as being bigger than it really is,” Billups said. “It’s just another win. But they have struggled against teams with better records, so beating the team with the No. 1 record is a big win for them.”

“We just missed shots, and the young boy hit his shots — that’s all,” Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace said. “It was a good game. It was what the people wanted, and we supplied it.”

Sheed isn’t so bad there, really. Chaunce? Sore loser? He talks about the Heat like they’re some kind of rec team that won the chance to play the Pistons at a pancake breakfast.

We actually welcome someone saying something like this – gives us something to talk about. Until we ran into that quote, we had a whole post done up about that Old Spice stuff we found at the grocery store yesterday.

It’s actually worthy of it’s own post, isn’t it? This is like something we (men) all do anyway, and now it’s finally “okay”. Shampoo and soap all in one bottle – this is such a simple and brilliant idea we assumed it was just scientifically impossible.

I’m calling it now the Pistons will have the third best record in the league at the end of the regular season.

They’re due for an injury, aren’t they? At least one?

Hair and body wash? I may start using it as a salad dressing.

As a Detroiter, i have to disagree about them having only 3rd best record. They’ll have best, maybe second, cause the East is too shallow. It’ll be Dallas and Detroit to the wire. Pancakes, nice.
