Danny Fortson is pouting

Tails the Peppy PFNew Sonics coach Bob Hill isn’t all that into playing power forward Danny Fortson and has planted him on the end of the bench. Danny, being the happy-go-lucky type that he is, now says he wants to be traded and is even considering retirement.
“To be honest with you, I would love to play here again, but the way Bob Hill thinks of me and my abilities, I don’t think he really wants me to mess up what he has,” Fortson said. “Considering I am saying that, it is probably better to move me to somewhere that I fit in better. I wouldn’t disagree with that.”
“Considering my reputation is pretty much ruined around this atmosphere, it don’t look like I could get traded,” Fortson said.
While being a benchwarmer on a noncontending team sound like a lot of fun to us, we understand Danny’s position - he’s much more unlazier than us. That said, there are plenty of ways he could contribute. He’s got those pigtails, and the Sonics’ current mascot Squatch could use a buddy.
[ed. note: this is not a commentary on Danny Fortson's pigtails.]
