ARRRGGHHHH!!!! OWWWW!!!The Cavs are going for their 8th straight win tonight against the Heat (on TNT!), and it remains to be seen whether they’ll win or not. This is because the game hasn’t been played yet.

Before the game, Charles Barkley and the gang will announce who the fans have voted into the All-Star Game as starters. Marty Burns at SI has the likely winners.

Right now it appears as if the honorees in the East will be Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade at guards, LeBron James and Jermaine O’Neal at forward, and Shaquille O’Neal at center. In the West it looks like the guards will be Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant, the forwards will be Tracy McGrady and Tim Duncan, and the center will be Yao Ming.

This seems pretty fair and just, save for one person: Kevin Garnett should be in before Tim Duncan.

The reason? As far as we know, the Spurs don’t even play anymore. Has there ever been less said about a team that’s 36-10? If you extrapolate that out to a full season, that’s 72-20, which is 10 more games than the regular season even has!

Seriously, when was the last time you thought about the Spurs? November? Last summer? This actually started out as a Spurs post, but there’s nothing to say about them. Nothing. Try going to their local paper’s sports section. See if you don’t fall asleep within 14 seconds.

(If you do, send us an email – we’d love to know how you fall asleep so quickly. 14 seconds has to be some kind of record.)

The answer to your question “Has there ever been less said about a team that’s 36-10?” is actually pretty easy: yes. And that team is the Dallas Maverics, who are an identical 36-10 and yet not one single person mentions them as one of the league’s elite teams. The Spurs have that “we know they’re going back to the finals so we don’t need to mention them until then” respect thing going for them. All Dallas has is a squeaky head coach and a German headcase. Speaking of which, Dirk wanted me to relate this to you: “Geshlaggen fuerstenslag, nachbinnel wirkenlatte.”

Anderson looks too much like the NBA’s version of Side Show Bob.

The reason the media does not focus on the best team in the NBA (Spurs) is because they are not a showboat team, they play to win, not to impress anyone. Apparently, they have the right idea…might i remind you they are the reigning CHAMPIONS!!! If you do not appreciate the all-around strong defensive and offensive team play, that is shown by the Spurs, then you do not appreciate the game that is Basketball.
