There has been nearly endless speculation and debate about whether Amare Stoudemire should come back at all this season, following microfracture knee surgury back in some month that was either September or October.
The speculation participants better prepare to find a new addiction, because it’s looking almost certain that the Suns’ power forward is going to play against Portland tonight.
“If it feels good, then it’s possible that I’ll play. This is the first time out of the whole six months that there’s been five straight days of improvement,” Stoudemire said. “There’s been no setbacks, and that’s just a sign of getting healthy and being ready.”
He joked with reporters who asked about whether he planned to issue a press release to announce his return.
“I may show up in street clothes and rip off the Superman cape,” Stoudemire said.
After reading that, we’re 100% certain the man should absolutely not play.
He’s clearly so shaken and distracted by the idea of reinjuring himself that he’s forgotten the process by which Clark Kent becomes Superman.
Why would Clark remove his street clothes, then rip off his cape? He needs to keep his cape on, as it’s an essential part of his Superman costume. If he leaves his cape hidden in a broom closet with his Clark Kent clothes, there’s a huge risk someone could find them and discover his secret identity. If you’re not aware, that’s deadly information in the wrong hands. Like say…Lex Luthor’s? Or Mark Cuban’s?
Of course, this is all a futile debate since Amare Stoudemire just admitted to a bunch of fucking reporters that he’s Superman. Stupid! Jesus.

Maybe it’s ego and he’s
upset the Suns didn’t fold without him, so he wants to show everyone what they were really missing.
Dumb idea, I like Amare and hope he doesn’t get hurt again.
For the record, his name is Amare Stoudemire.
Try this as a memory aid, E, as in excellent, or ego, your choice.
I can only speculate on which one Amare would choose.
Yeah and September has one ‘t’ not two. Who’s the idiot who writes this thing?
