Simple rebranding to fix Golden StateWe’re sitting here watching Boston College and Pacific duke it out in OT, and we’re reminded why we don’t like college basketball all that much – we have no idea who anybody is.
Surely by the Final Four, we’ll know a few names beyond JJ Redick, and then those players will go to the NBA and we’ll be lost again.
That said, with the Golden State Warriors 11 games below .500, one could say they’ve had a disappointing season. Not by Warriors’ standards really, but definitely by what-the-Warriors-want-to-be standards.
GM Chris Mullin is looking ahead to what’s sure to be an offseason on the phone with the Knicks.
“You need to win and develop,” Mullin said. “In the NBA, a lot of it is result driven. I’ve been on both sides. I got off to rough starts. I’ve been probably as low as you could and got back maybe as high as you could.”
“I’m not saying that’s patience, that’s also being realistic. But there’s also an expiration date on that, too.”
“This team could be better as is. That’s a fact.”
“Something will change.”
Do you like how we worked in a criticism of NCAA basketball? How does that make you feel to know that we don’t like college basketball?
Does it make you nervous? Sad? Confused?
Does it make you hungry? This post isn’t even finished, and already we’ve gotten 6 emails from people saying it makes them hungry. Creepy, huh? Do these people see the future? Have they been reading so long that they can predict what we’ll say?
Are they the same ass-holes who popped the ‘M’ key off our laptop? Or have we just been typing “Mommy we miss you so much” too often? Is 17 emails a day to mom too many?
Go Warriors – find a way to get Baron Davis in NY with Steph and Franchise.

Makes me hungry… for more NBA posts from The Cavalier! Of course, if the Cavalier and the Tar Heel turn are really the same person, that will confuse me.
Starbury could totally play SF with Franchise and Baron!
Oh, and I meant to say, I don’t really like college basketball that much either.
NBA is a bad product, geared for pre-teens.
That’s why Golden Sstate should change their name to the Califonia Spider-Mans!
THe NFL is geared towards this guy

People who like college basketball are most likely white males.
When Chris Mullin said “something will change” he meant ticket prices.
