Even more from the happy kids at Knicks HQ

Chris Sheridan at ESPN has a report from the Knicks shootaround this morning, and all we can imagine is hordes of reporters running back and forth between Marbury and Brown.

Steph says it’s personal now, and he’s not going to sit back and take it anymore. If Larry’s going to talk trash through the media, he will, too. The Knicks are high school, yo. Marbury on Brown:

“I think it’s personal now,” Marbury said. “I don’t think it’s about basketball anymore. Now it’s to the point where he’s putting his 30-year career against my 10-year career. You know, coach is a great coach is what everyone says. We’re supposed to be better than what we are. Did it happen now? No.”

Brown on Marbury:

“So, you’re the best guard in the league and the team is 17-45, yeah, it’s the coach’s fault.”

Marbury again:

“If coach is comparing his career to my career, he’s got like a 20-year edge on me. To me that sounds like a lot of insecurity is going on.

More Brown:

“I don’t know why you play a team sport and not be concerned about making your teammates better and helping your team win games. That’s the only thing that really matters, and if you’re the best player, surely you’re going to have some effect on the game’s outcome.”

The Cavalier:

Fuckin’ awesome.

You guys gotta remember, this is all in anticipation of likely getting blown out in New York City by the Atlanta Hawks tonight. Seriously, if you don’t have League Pass, it’s only like 25 bucks for the rest of the season at this point. It’ll totally be worth it.
