In about four hours, the Lakers and Kings are getting it on in Sacramento.
Two months ago, if someone had told you this is a huge game, you’d have said, “I tend not to agree with that statement. Perhaps by amending the teams to two different ones, but the statement as it stand is simply not valid.”
Today it’s a different story. The Lakers are in the 7 spot, the Kings are a slim half game back in 8th. Not only that, but Ron Artest has thrown down the gauntlet and says he’s shutting down Kobe tonight.
Not only that, but the dance teams are facing off in that NBA.com thing today.
A lot to take in, huh? For us, too – it’s a bit overwhelming, and when we get overwhelmed there’s nothing we like more than to kick back and have a smoke. He’s not going anywhere dude. I know nobody wants to admit it, but he likes Cleveland. He effing grew up there and has everyone he knows there. He’s a lifelong Cavs fan.
Besides, where’s he going to go? Nobody can pay him more, and the Cavs can offer a max extention this summer. The only way he goes is by pulling a Vince Carter.

No, the tournament has to happen in the next year or so. Right now, I’m just plannin’. You know, like Nas. Plottin’ shit. Names on hollow tips. In a year, I’ll be like Shep in Above The Rim.
And then, it’s on.
I’ll probably end up playing more like Flip, but that’s neither here nor there. But next year. The tournament. Not 2015, because I’ll be… 37.
