The italics are ours. The reason they’re there is to indicate that the words in italics don’t fit into the sentence and read oddly. We’ve done this because while we could make a joke of some sort to emphasize this point, simply having you read the text with the words slanted to the right is actually more effective.
By the way, we found a new internet toy yesterday – something we’ll be using on here as soon as we figure out how it works. It’s something we’ve been thinking about for some time, and this application finally makes it easy enough for us to handle.
We’re not giving any clues except to say that we’re about to reach our full potential in terms of just how stupid we can be.

man you’re right about simmons, but boy is it fun for us boston fans to read those columns. also, i think you can trace paul pierce’s current outburst to your dismissal of him following his “victory” in the one-on-one tourney…so thanks! he clearly is just out to show you he really did deserve it.

I don’t understand why there’s all this noise about a guy who’s scoring a lot and playing his heart out for a team that isn’t even close to contending for a title. You know, like that Kobe guy…
