Sebastian Telfair is a good little marketer

sebastian telfair.gifWe’re about to sit down and check out ESPN’s documentary Through the Fire, which follows the crazy senior year of high school of Sebastian Telfair, who now plays for the Portland Trailblazers.

Sebastian is having his struggles in this, his second year in the NBA, although in a recent interview, he showed that he has learned a thing or two about something.

“From the start, I thought I was going to be put in the fire, and that if I was thrown into the fire, I would be able to react to it,” Telfair, 20, said. “But I felt like I was never thrown into the fire.”

“I don’t feel that I was put in the position to be the player I wanted to be,” Telfair said.

As to the first part – genius. It’s actually what reminded us we have this on the Tivo. Hitting on the second sentence…Sebastian, Sebastian, Sebastian. The player you want to be isn’t very good – that’s why they’re trying to turn you into something else.

We’ll have our review up sometime or another. While we watch, you go ahead and check out this classic clip from the past, which is easily one of the most memorable TV moments of our youth, and a through the fire moment of our own.
