We’ve been touting LeBron for MVP, and while we were on this before ESPN’s John Hollinger, who has also boarded the train, we also realize we may have a slight bias.
That being the case, we’ve decided to relent and give equal push to another worthy candidate, the Celtics’ Paul Pierce. This is only fair – we were awful hard on PP after that whole “greatest sham on Earth” thing that went down around these parts a couple months ago.
What has Pierce done to warrant such a mention? Well, besides losing to the Knicks last night, Paul also has had a hell of a season. So – we think if the Celtics can manage just 3 more wins, there’s no way he doesn’t get MVP. That 35 is a huge milestone.
The one thing holding him back is that New York loss last night. Losing to the Knicks is embarrassing, humiliating, degrading, and any number of other synonyms. We can’t imagine any quality team losing to the Knicks, but the Truth is the Truth, even though nobody can actually tell us what that nickname means 8 years into the ole’ career.
Throw that icon into your sidebar – say it loud and proud – LeBron James Paul Pierce for MVP!

Well, if your serious, it’s about time you give my man props.
Yes, I’m dead serious.
The Truth must be told, damn straight Pierce should get MVP consideration, good post.
I don’t think you’re giving due respect to Marbury’s Drive For 25. That’s a milestone.
Sigh… you guys that think he is serious make Celts fans everywhere look really bad.
Celtics fans who diss Celtics fans look like assholes.
Worst post ever.
The Cavs are 0-2 against the Knicks so I guess they aren’t a quality team. They lost to them 5 days ago. “We can’t imagine any quality team losing to the Knicks…” Well the Cavs sure did.
Man, I really must’ve buried the sarcasm a little too deeply in this post for a couple of you.
Lol, you still hating on Pierce…get over it, Pierce is better than Lebron, damn man Lebron should get on his knees for Pierce, thats how badly he gets owned when they play.
Compare the splits this season for LBJ vs Boston and PP vs Cleveland.
LMAO @ Celts fans that think this is sincere.
It’s about time someone gave my man Marbury some props though. Damn straight.
I still don’t see, given what I posted about 4 columns ago, how Dirk isn’t more deserving than “({Lebron})” for MVP. Course, if the Magic make the playoffs, Joe Dumars should be MVP.
Dirk is perfectly deserving, but I’ve said all along that he won’t get it, simply because he’s not an American.
Look, there are always 2 or 3 (if not 5) guys who legitimately deserve it. To be able to say that one guy is that far and above everyone else is extremely rare.
Like MJ in the 72-win season is a good example. He was faar and away MVP that year, without argument.
There are a bunch of retarded people on this post.
KB81 is the one!
You forgot me, I was on the LeBron train before anyone:

Nice try, but no, I won’t put your silly picture on my site. Be happy with the link I gave you.
LeBron might be the MVP, but Pierce would still beat him in one-on-one.
Congrats to LeBron on getting to the post season for the frist time ever.
Um, Nash isn’t from the US either.
