The Warriors are trying to make up for things

ike diogu.gifGolden State had their final home game last night, and while in the preseason many people thought this would be a celebration of an impending playoff run, in reality it was a meaningless win over the Trailblazers.

Well, not completely meaningless – it was Fan Appreciation Night after all, and for a team that set a franchise record for attendance, that surely has some meaning to someone. Overpaid Nice-guy forward Mike Dunleavey Jr, for one, is looking forward to seeing what next season could bring.

“We’re not good,” forward Mike Dunleavy said. “I don’t know how good we think we are, but we’re not.”

We don’t know if he’s using “we” how we use it or if he’s describing the whole team, but he sure does sound appreciative of that $44M contract.

golden state 01.jpgIf you’re a Warriors fan who couldn’t make it out to the arena last night, don’t worry. There’s something for you, too. Instead of t-shirts and used shoes, the team has a special message on their website just for you. Let’s not lie – we’ve subtley doctored this thing – the question is – which parts are YAY and which are WARRIORS?

(Thanks to the dude from Kent – we’ll let him tell you about Andris Biedrins’ signature.)
