After new media darling Need4Sheed made her appearance, we did a segment on the Killer Crossover podcast.
It was fun as hell, and also Lesson A in how to hijack someone’s show. Plus, we lay a big hint about Who Shot Mamba?. Speaking of which…
NOW is the time. The thing is ready to blow up – response has been great, and it’s time to make it better. Our power here as a collective is enormous – if you haven’t thrown in your two dollars, your fiver, your ten, whatever – go do so – please. This fundraising can be done by Cavs-Pistons tonight if YOU are the one who goes and does your part.
Link is at the bottom of this post, and yes, PayPal will let you use a credit card.
The Mavs have been majorly screwed over by the league for Jason Terry’s suspension for Game 6. Mark Cuban is rallying the troops by exchanging emails with a San Antonio newspaper columnist.
Here’s the video of his punch on Michael Finley, if you haven’t seen it. (Thanks to TrueHoop.)
Okay, technically you’re not supposed to do that, but these guys poke and jab at each other all the time. When we heard he was suspended for a “punch”, we expected like something that looked like an actual fight.
Ben Gordon has a new Red Bull competitor called BG7 about to hit the market.
The Knicks are starting draft workouts Monday and Larry Brown is planning on attending as head coach. Zeke will be there, too. Is there any way this can be televised?
Scottie Pippen may want to try his hand at coaching. He also has an 18-year old son named Antron who’s drawing eyes at colleges and is a Transformer.
Miami Herald columnist Greg Cote says the Heat should be rooting for Cleveland, because they’re very beatable. Okay, also because it would be good for the NBA.
But still – we won 50 games. Will someone acknowledge we might just be a good team? Please?

This is great. I thought if the Cavs could somehow possibly pull this thing off that there was no way Miami could completely dismiss them as an opponent, but it looks like they already are. I hope the Pistons still think we totally suck. That’s been our secret weapon.
It’s kinda weird – Sheed is still saying “no one man will beat us”.
They’re not getting beat by LeBron – he’s not even playing all that great, at least for him.
Anyone who saw that last Heat-Cavs game and isn’t rooting for the Cavs to win tonight is a Pistons fan or doesn’t actually like NBA basketball. That was one of the greatest regular season games I’ve seen.
Agreed.
I think the fans have already filled the Q and begun cheering btw.
As promissed I am doing my part to get this show made, despite the fact that I know you are totally going to trash on my team’s franchise player. Speaking of hints, I think it’s pretty obvious Who Shot Mamba…
Here’s my $10 to find out. Now I need to make a side bet that I am right.
BTW – if you do make the T-Shirt that says…
Front: Who Shot Black Mamba
Back: It’s $2 – Jesus!
Than I want a complimentary T for helping brainstorm the idea. Seriously, I want that T-short.

That was funny – I had a fun time on the show.
I’m overhauling the store this weekend to offer a lot more stuff, so that just may be an option.
It’s also true – Jesus!
If anyone is getting cuts out of the T-Shirt fund, it better be me…
And the NBA does need a Wade V. LeBron east final. Those two put on an absolute show when they played each other during the regular season. And anyone that does not see that is not a basketball fan.
I loved the Pistons when they had a bit of humility and played the underdog role, but they have totally lost that and become a bunch of overconfident babies. I hope LeBron drops of quad-double on them tonight.
I think the who shot mamba film should be followed up by a who’s got roundie sequal.
One at a time…
I don’t want a cut of the profits – I just want a free T-Shirt. Holy Ghost!
Easy now Jonesie!
I just heard on local radio that Larry Hughes will probably be on the bench (in a suit) tonight in support of the team.
That’s gotta help, right?
I did some extensive research, and was able to find this scouting report on Antron Pippen
Here’s a preview — he’s 5 cm tall and his alignment is evil.
What the eff? Why doesn’t my link work? I guess I’ll just have to post it the old-fashion way.

Aw man- everybody’s talking about The Shot and The Drive and all that shit. SHUT UP CLEVELAND WITH YOUR SELF FULFILLING PROPHESY HORSECRAP. It’s all gonna be FINE.
I’m thinking that, since all this happened so fast and so unexpectedly, the Fates haven’t had enough time to work up a plan to rip out our hearts again. They’ll get us next round.
Antron Walker?
Yeah if you actually watch the games Lebron doesn’t look like the focal point. Dropping 32 or so looks great in the box score, but the giant x factor in this series has been Varejao, Ilgauskas, Gooden, and Marshall – basically everyone 6″8 and over not named Lebron.
Man their second best player wasn’t even there too…this is just ridiculous.
Looks like he’s destined to be a Celtic or Sonic:
Antron has been released with two different brain colors. The most common is a grayish-green which is in contrast to the less common, darker green brain.
I realize everyone is talking about the Cavs but I just saw that punch and I thought it was funny as hell. It’s almost like he tried to sneak it in there. I hope the Mavs can pull out a win tonight without him though!
Mavs all the way!
Let the Sonics have him. We already had the wiggle, let them have the stiffy.
