For those who emailed to ask - I'm too young for Red Right 88, but I'm familiar with it.

I'm a Clevelander as well, I was there. You basically described exactly how I felt, and how my buds felt at the game, too. Tentatively excited and deathly afraid.

just like you, i KNEW the cavs would blow that 7pt lead. i thought for sure they would lose, and told all my friends it was going to happen. they thought i didnt have faith in my team. they just dont know.

maybe im not a "true fan" of basketball, but i really want this series to end asap. cavs in 6 please. just get the win, so i know that theyre going to the next round (albeit theyre going to get killed). no messing around, though a game 7 lbj/arenas showdown would be amazing. id probably be more nervous than watching ohio state stare at a 4th and 14 in overtime against miami...

I read the whole thing, despite your disclaimers. I'll be honest with you, If I didn't hate the Cavaliers with every ounce of my Gilbert-loving being at the moment, you would have me rooting for the Cavs. This series deserves nothing less than a Game 7 Gilbert/LeBron shootout.

I only got to see the last 1:30 but at the end I went absolutely apeshit.

Seriously, the wiz had timeouts. What were they thinking.

I dunno, man, James Gang is back on tour. And Joe used to pull a pretty sweet tone out of those mini-humbuckers.

This one was emotional. I watched at work, and when my co-worker moved the TV so I could see better, I told her, "You probably just jinxed the game." Just like that, a 7 point lead evaporated. She was also saying things like, "Wow it's getting close." Suddenly I was having flashbacks of Jeremiah Castielle. Back then a woman at our NFC/AFC Championship party wondered aloud, "Isn't that reaching in?" How do I end up watching Cleveland playoff games with women who don't care?
So, I moved to another office for the overtime. Finally, Cleveland has The Guy. The Guy who makes The Play. Admit it, from the original camera angle, your view so obscurred by defenders that you had no idea what he was doing, but suddenly, there he was in front of the rim.
Beautiful.
