tom hanks 2.gif(We’re trying to take it easy with the Cavs-Wiz Game 5 tonight. Just letting it come to us; letting it happen.)

We’re going to skip over Gilbert Arenas claiming he’s not happy and Cavs coach Mike Brown admitting he’s not using him correctly (among other things), and just point out one thing about Larry Hughes.

He’s a good guy.

And now it’s official, as the Cavaliers announced Larry as the first winner of the brand new Austin Carr Good Guy Award.

The award, named after Cavaliers legend Austin Carr, is designed to recognize the Cavaliers player who is cooperative and understanding of the media, the community and the public.

He looks thrilled, doesn’t he? He’s clearly not at all embarrassed at the idea of getting a plaque that looks like the one we got in seventh grade for showing up every day.

Well, that was our attempt to let the game come to us, and it’s not here yet, so we need to parrot the masses. Arenas says Larry is complaining his role is just to “bring in the plays”. See, that’s not possible, because the Cavs don’t run any plays.

While message boards net-wide criticize Damon Jones and Donyell Marshall and Z and Hughes and everyone not named LeBron for not contributing, anyone who knows basketball can tell you nobody on the Cavs is being put in a position to contribute. It’s a testament to how good LBJ is that we’ve even won two games.

Let’s go back to seventh grade - run a freaking basic motion offense. Hell, run a three-man weave if you have to. Run anything. Just stop putting LeBron 25 feet from the hoop with nobody else even moving.

You guys work your asses off on defense, only to come down to the other end and stand around. Damn you, Donyell! Why can’t you hit any threes when your man has been planted right next to you for 20 seconds and you get the ball with 2 on the shot clock?

In conclusion, maybe Dr. Doom or Darth Vader or Satan would’ve been better t-shirt choices for the Good Guy Award ceremony? They’ve all killed like thousands of people, and we don’t think the Godfather has that many on his resume.

Bryant was tossed by referee Leon Wood after complaining that a hard foul against Brown should have been called flagrant.

“He didn’t like my toneage, if that’s a word.” Bryant said. “He’s the decider. Is that a word, decider?”

    Kobe is amazing

ha ha, I couldn’t figure out who was on the t. I thought it was Coach star, Craig T. Nelson.

Duh, Cavalier, the Cavs play is pick-and-roll - that might have 2 guys moving at once, maybe.
