Just for kicks, let’s get some confirmation on that. Nope, that’s just another “Shaq is old” column. Capitalization aside, we’ll believe Becky, although she doesn’t approve of RJ’s decision:

Considering they won Game 1 and essentially did what they came to do, ie split, one must question if this is a wise choice by Richard.
Still, the Heat are a little rattled, and maybe this is his moment to walk onto the court and have everyone inspired by his mere presence. Maybe he could wear that boot and inspire people with bum ankles everywhere.

One thing’s for sure. Now that Deadspin is selling “You’re with me, leather” t-shirts, the opportunity for synergy exists as never before.
How long before the first black market “You’re With Me, Mamba” or “Who Shot Will from Deadspin?” shirts are out there, maybe from those punk-ass thieving bitches at That Sports Blog.

If RJ’s not in horrible pain, he should play. I don’t think the Nets can beat Miami without him. While a split is all they really need, jumping out to a 2-0 lead would be pretty fantastic. Any team with Dwyane and Shaq is inherently scary and NJ should jump on them when they can.
But it’s not like anyone’s gonna beat the Pistons this decade, so this hardly matters.
Is there a good idea for a “go Philly” T-shirt out there?

I actually purchased a Berman shirt today too for someone.
and you would think w/ 7 years of french class, I would have typed “LES crepes.” merde.
