Was that T.I. representing the Bobcats?

2 farlane May 24, 2006 at 1:41 pm

I don’t know what happened there but I LIKE it!!

3 The Cavalier May 24, 2006 at 1:41 pm

Who?

4 Exodus May 24, 2006 at 2:09 pm

That isn’t TI Zachille… Looks a little bit like him but it isn’t him.

It’s gonna be a great game tonight and hopefully we can see the Mavs prevail and go on to win that golden roundie!

Hopefully, Howard will be doing this kind of stuff all night….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_FfubG3oLg&search=Josh%20Howard Then again, this is PHX so it won’t be to much of a challenge for him.

Mavs in 5!

that was my hilarious way of saying that T.I. looks like Gerald Wallace and vice versa. Oh, Internet, jokes work so well with you!

7 LUCAS May 24, 2006 at 4:09 pm

Suns in 6. The Mavs offense is the most atrocious thing I have seen since Cleveland’s give-the-ball-to-Lebron-and stand-around play. Mavs defense is so overrated.

GO SUNS!

ps. Boris Diaw quadruple double.

8 zachille o'neal May 24, 2006 at 4:42 pm

mavs offense atrocious?

9 Derek May 24, 2006 at 4:49 pm

Lucas..
a-tro-cious
1.Extremely evil or cruel; monstrous
2.Exceptionally bad; abominable

I’m guessin you meant meaning #1 there…cause besides PHX’s defense..or lack thereof, there’s not one thing lacking from this Mavs team..
Suns just better hope that 3 ball doesn’t stop fallin, cause that’s their ONLY form of offense..atrocious..silly people

10 Derek May 24, 2006 at 5:02 pm

OH yeah…I dunno how long some Suns fans have been Suns fans..but they have some history..Steve Nash..not his old age..but his art of choking..MAYBE y’all forgot about last year..that stacked Suns squad that saw how well a “we just wanna score points” strategy works..yeah..they choked…Playoffs Mavs squad once had a “we just wanna score points” mentality..they choked..they were lead by a PG named…who was he??

11 zack k May 24, 2006 at 5:31 pm

mavs in 5

lucas = not smart

12 LUCAS May 24, 2006 at 5:46 pm

The mavs move the ball up the court, give the ball to one of their players and let that player play one-on-one. What are they last in the league in assists? Did avery johnson forget about running offensive plays?
Suns D is definitely underrated, statistically it doesn’t seem so compared to other teams because of all the extra possessions in Suns contests.

13 Derek May 24, 2006 at 6:15 pm

See, the thing is, we have this guy named Dirk. He’s a 7-footer that has a shot that can’t really be contested. When you have a player of this calibur, you tend to want him one-on-one, assuming you have a winning mentality.
Overall, does it really matter what you do to get the job done? Nash runs in circles under the goal until he finds a man open..it’s called what works for the team.
Nash’s “no-D” team will be slowed..he’ll choke as he always has…Mavs in a hard fought 5.

14 zack k May 24, 2006 at 6:32 pm

about the suns d being overrated cuz of more possesions… i remember saying the same thing when nash was runnin the show in dallas…. and we won TONS of titles right?

15 LUCAS May 24, 2006 at 6:45 pm

Didn’t the Suns play against the best scorer in the league and win already? And what about Brand getting 30/10+ a night?

I believe the Suns D is better than Avery’s smoke and mirrors D. It’s all talk.

Didn’t Duncan get like 30+ a game against the mavs too?

16 Derek May 24, 2006 at 6:56 pm

The Mavs beat Duncan and his 30+…so what you beat Kobe..didn’t half the league do it all year?? The Mavs are a squad..not just Dirk…Dirk is what will hurt you..the team is what will beat you..we’ll just have to see what happens..

17 LUCAS May 24, 2006 at 6:57 pm

Good luck to the Mavs. It should be a good series.

18 JONESONTHENBA May 24, 2006 at 7:32 pm

Should I come to the aid of Lucas on this??? Naaaaah!!!!

19 The Cavalier May 24, 2006 at 8:39 pm

I leave for the day, yet YAYsports lives on. Perhaps I’m copletely unneccessary.

20 Brandon Dean Price May 24, 2006 at 11:32 pm

Hey Derek, how much of a choke artist is Steve Nash now?
I already have yaysports headline tomorrow

Steve Nash is choking

then maybe cav can photoshop diaw shooting an apple over stackhouse

21 zack k May 24, 2006 at 11:39 pm

harris drew a textbook charge.. .HOW was that a block.. thennnn HOW WAS THAT an offensive foul… and then what the hell mavs.. guard nash on the threee… refs fucked us then mavs blew it… DAMNIT.. mavs in 5

22 LUCAS May 24, 2006 at 11:49 pm

STEVE NASH CHOKES

AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Nice “defense” Mavs.

Suns in 6.

23 Brandon Dean Price May 24, 2006 at 11:57 pm

fucking mavs fans, just say you blew a 9 point lead in the final minute in that shitty arena with a bunch of fake fans

24 LUCAS May 25, 2006 at 12:44 am

I just ate a hot Italian sausage and it tasted like VICTORY.

HAHAHAHAHA

25 Nick May 25, 2006 at 1:26 am

Yeah, I’m liking this underdog thing. Suns in six. I’ll be at game six, too.

It’s interesting that every time the Suns win, all anyone talks about is how the other team messed up. It couldn’t just be that the Suns are a good team, could it? They’re not a great team, they’re just “resilient.”

Also, I am fucking tired of Doug Collins. I’m convinced he has a check list of things to say at every game. For example, “Barbosa looses confidence if he misses a couple shots etc…” or “The Phoenix crowd lives on the 3s”. He says the same thing word for word in every game. Plus his hair is pretty gayish.

26 Nick May 25, 2006 at 1:39 am

God, I can’t believe I said “looses”. That’s a major pet peeve of mine…

27 Jeremy May 25, 2006 at 6:26 am

Can Steve Nash finally get some fucking respect already?

28 Exodus May 25, 2006 at 10:01 am

I am a Suns fan and I also like to watch Steve Nash go to work… I still think the Mavs take this because the Suns relie on the three ball way to much… I think everyone can agree that if the Suns had to play the Spurs we wouldn’t be seeing them in this round and if they do get past the Mavs then the Heat will end up being Champions.

I think it was a great game last night and if I were the Mavs I wouldn’t be to pissed about the loss. You learned more about the team and you realized what way you need to play to beat them. Let’s not forget that Howard went down early and did hurt the Mavs some.

I think the Suns would have a better chance against the Mavs if Amare was playing.

Mavs all the way!

29 Nick May 25, 2006 at 10:25 am

Exodus, did you watch either of the Suns-Heat games? The Heat can’t hang with the Suns. Shaq was a non-factor in both games because he couldn’t keep up. I have no doubt the Suns can beat the Heat.

30 LUCAS May 25, 2006 at 10:40 am

The best stat of the night,

Mavs: 13 assists, 16 turnovers

Steve Nash: 16 assists, 3 turnovers.

Phoenix CRUSHED Miami every game this season. That would be the best scenario for the Suns to win it all.

31 Derek May 25, 2006 at 10:40 am

No worries here..I said Mavs in 5…Howard went down..that hurts, we blew a big lead late, refs didn’t exactly help the cause, but we blew that one..those were some SORRY ASS fake “fans” last night!! They left as soon as the soons took the lead back…damn high ticket prices make a mockery of sports arenas. If we get Howard back, Mavs in 5; if we lose him, Mavs in 6. Suns caught a lucky break. OH, and part of choking, is making the fans think you’re actually gonna pull this one out..I’ve had Nash make me think he was a winner once before..we’ve already seen that FLOPPERS don’t win games anymore..

32 Derek May 25, 2006 at 11:39 am

I now realize I might have sounded like a typically “we just lost, here’s the excuses” type guy, so this helps a great deal in my cause.
http://www.maverickmoneyball.com/2006/05/24/suns-steal-game-one/

33 Jeremy May 25, 2006 at 2:31 pm

You still sound like a “we just lost, here’s the excuses” type guy. Steve Nash tore the Mavs up last night, just like Nash does everytime. Floppers don’t win games? Nash tore the Mavs up last year, too.

I still think the Mavs are gonna win the series, but there’s no doubt if the Suns had Amare and Kurt this year they’d kill the entire league.

34 Derek May 26, 2006 at 4:01 pm

Mavs win in 6…Nash..I hate the crybaby bitch…is SICK, no questions there…but if he didn’t every call he cried for his head would explode..I just can’t root for a guy like that. He should be a Spur with that mentality.

35 Derek May 26, 2006 at 4:42 pm

Sorry fellas..it’s hard to talk shit and try to get my work done..I meant “if he didn’t get every call every time he cried…” but I’m sure y’all already knew that if you watch any of his games.

36 Chris May 30, 2006 at 8:30 pm
