WHO SHOT MAMBA IPHONE

That Sports Blog is filthy and stealing EXPLOSIONS

shaq 001.pngSorry to have to go Philly on another thief, but when Chris at End of the Bench noted that he’s been having a back-and-forth with this dildo, our interest was ignited. You see, we’ve been aware of this latest one for a couple weeks, and have sent a bunch of emails, all of which get no response.

It’s oh so validating to find out this scumbag is simply afraid to converse with the person he’s thieving from.

So, if you happen to be reading this on That Sports Blog, guess what? The content isn’t his, he’s using it without permission, he’s using our bandwidth to do it, and he’s standing behind this same “you’re providing an RSS feed” stance that doesn’t hold up with anyone that has any morals, ethics, or brains. Especially considering there’s a clear notice down there by the feeds that states you can’t do what you’re doing.

We’ll tell you what we told “Webmaster” at brawl-hall.com. We provide feeds for the readership, not so you can make 3 cents a day on Google Adsense off of them.

On one hand, we feel like this is kind of hopeless – it’s like trying to get yourself off telemarketing lists. There are just too many to chase down, and new ones pop up every day. On the other, our main problem is this weird “Webmaster” attitude they all pull. We have no idea what a webmaster is, but it sounds suspiciously like a dork to us.

Frankly, if this guy would just respond to one of our emails and admit he’s a thief, we’d probably be happy to just let him steal. It’s this assinine justification that they’re not doing anything wrong that drives us crazy. You take what’s not your creation and attempt to profit off of it without permission. In what world is there nothing wrong with that, Mr. Webmaster?

Deadpin & Mr. Irrelevent – you’re on this guy’s honor roll, as well. Nice to be in good company. Maybe you and your AOL/Gawker weight can do something.

Now, on to more important matters. The BDP will be given the distinct honor of reading the script to Who Shot Mamba?. We want to give you verification from a trusted third party that what we’re attempting will kick all of your asses.

Thanks to everyone who has bought shirts and donated so far – we’ll have a progress report up soon. Remember, if everyone who reads this site throws in only $3, we’ll have something that will turn the NBA on its ear this summer.

You read that right.

LOL!!

In their world, a “Webmaster” can score up to 500HP and regenerate damage +10 with each turn!!!

Seems to me you may have a potential copyright claim.

This article is actually the head of page 2 at the Sports Blog right now.

content aggregation is actually a perfectly valid business model…
the title linking back to the original post is enough that there’s nowt can be done about it, pretty much like drudge report.

just keep on posting about his mama, though, maybe they will drop ya.

Not when I specifically forbid it, it’s not.

I’d love to see someone try this in the real world. Just take articles from a magazine, print them up under their own cover, and try to make money off of them.

Does tha make any sense?

now I accidentally clicked on thatsportsblog. I swear it won’t happen again!

well, if there were a touch-spot on every page of the magazine that could concievably make the next page a page from any other magazine, then maybe it would make sense.

I’m not sure how I found yaysports, but it was probably when freedarko or deadspin reproduced some of your content. so now I visit yz daily or so (& have come around to like the Cavaliers)

I don’t support quotation without proper attribution, I’m just sayin’ – form dictates function, etc., internets.

I am a lawyer, Jones. it’s principalities in this shit, legal principalities

Well reproducing a snippet or quote and linking back is fine and even encouraged.

“Hey, here’s something this person said and now here’s what I think of that” etc etc. I do it all the time – so’s Deadspin and everyone else.

What these guys do is just reprint everything verbatim, adding nothing. They just present it as their own, without even saying who wrote it originally. (A linked post title doesn’t count.)

It’s a big difference. I’m glad you’re around on the Cavs though. :)
