We’ve rewritten this post like four times (because we care) and there are really no words for what went down yesterday. We’re not going to trot out the “we just played Friday night and had to take two flights” or the “Lindsay Hunter is a 25% shooter on threes, and he dropped in four in the first half” excuses.
For those of you who were here when we had the slideshow up, congrats. If you missed it, go watch this thing that came from a Cleveland paper.
If you were here for the inquisitive ninja, we apologize. Not much else to say – hopefully it’s more competitive the rest of the way.
What about this, though? If you’d heard the Cavaliers had shot 50% from the floor, outrebounded the Pistons, and only had six turnovers in the first half, would you ever guess they would’ve been down by 22?

Fortunately, whatever horrible thing I’m supposed to see from the game isn’t working. I’m so depressed. Shoot worse Detroit! We’d like to keep it close – at least.
Yeah I think that has something to do with the RealPlayer. It’s showing up sometimes for me.
I tried getting it on YouTube to no avail. It won’t save.
It didn’t play for me, then I followed the link to the Plain Dealer site. There, it played without video. Once I closed the PD window the piece played on Yaysports. That makes sense. They should use this adventure on one of those “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” commercial. This is the song they play when people are ELIMINATED from Amrican Idol. Ominous.
First one who can get that on YouTube for me gets a prize.
Yeah, when they play it American Idol it comes off odd, too. The song to me always makes it seem like “haha look what happened to you loser.”
The Cavalier:
Did it seem to you that during the first half the Cavs were starting their offense earlier in the shot clock and were moving the ball more?
Here’s the thing – the Cavs shot 50% in the first half, only had 6 turnovers, scored 48 points, and outrebounded Detroit.
If you’d told me that before the game, I would’ve been pretty freaking happy.
Our defense wasn’t great by any means, but what can you do when a team is 10-11 from three and isn’t missing anything else either?
Lindsay Hunter made one from 4 feet behind the line and Gooden was right on him!

Pistons in 4 (maybe 5). And I’m a lifelong Cavs fan.
I said 5 also. Believe me, I’m not saying the Cavs are good enough to win this. Not even close. I don’t think today is indicitive of what the series will be, though.
Pistons win by 50 next game. Bron plays the 1st quarter only and get 40 points, cavalier calls it a success.
That’s my take.
