We’re really enjoying the Playoffs and all, but as of this morning, we’re absilutely pumped for next season.
Word out of Peter Vecsey’s mouth is that Knicks coach Larry Brown is about to get bought out and replaced with the architect of this disaster, one Isiah Thomas.
We couldn’t ask for anything more. This practically guarantees another full season of turmoil in NYC, and only this scenario could top last year’s seemingly neverending fun.
The buyout is worth at least $40 million, the newspaper reported.
The Knicks declined to comment.
At some point they’re going to have to say something, right? We know it’s kind of embarrassing to exist like this, but you can just give the world the gift of Isiah coaching the Knicks and not say anything. Let’s look at the players here –
Larry Brown – for the second time in two years, he’s making millions and millions of dollars for going away. A lot of people will criticize him for this, but we say if you’re looking at being an NBA head coach purely as a business model, he’s set up the ideal franchising template.
Isiah Thomas – we covered this before.
Sacramento fans – already scared. Mike Bibby is exactly what LB looks for in a PG! Plus, he’s not in a gang!
Whatever the case, the real winner is Kenyon Martin, whose acquisition has to be on the verge. Oh, and Baron Davis. And Zach Randolph. Darius Miles. Antoine Walker. All Knicks. Al Harrington. He’s a Knick, too.
(NOTE: While you may be enjoying our doctored up version of the NY Post, the funniest part about that cover may be the part that’s real. Check out the bottom left corner, where defamed steroid user Gary Sheffield’s “mini-balls” are advertised.)

It’s like Christmas in May for everyone involved. Except for Knick fans. And future Knick players. I’d say current Knick players…but we all know they’ll be playing somewhere else by next season.
