Ok, an explanation of “loud confidence.”

Detroit is a team of castaways. How would you feel being traded around this league and neglected? How would you feel if MJ told you you’ll never amount to everything? An undrafted four-time defensive player of the year? Sheed hated in Portland? I’m sure Cavs fans have heard it before, but Joe Dumars put this team together with a common ingredient of players who were written off and swapped around the league.

It’s truly amazing what became of the Pistons when Rasheed joined us and the boys listened to Larry Brown: A championship and a further shift in the game of basketball toward team play.

Yes, this city and our players are a bit cocky. We have a chip on our shoulders. We’re not unlike Cleveland in that we’re beaten down and battered. We want our players to be like this and we want them to back it up. Sheed rolls an ankle and doesn’t come through, but he’s still ahead on his guaran-sheeds.

You can’t sell the Pistons to white-collar America, but here in Detroit, in the city, they have tons of currency. I don’t think it’s that different in Cleveland, so, enjoy the series. Game 7 is going to be great and I’m certainly not writing off the Cavs. Still, I think the momentum has shifted and as long as the Pistons play the way they did two weeks ago and ALL SEASON, I think this is the close of the Cavs’ season. Even if it is, it was a nice season and a great post season for them.

Seriously; a great observation, I’m already racking my brain trying to figure out if there was another Sparky against the Tigers or something similar. You should point this out to Bill Simmons at ESPN, it seems right up his alley.

They’re saying here on the radio that Larry might dress for the game but may not play. Certainly won’t start.

I could see him coming off the bench to guard Billups or somebody late in the game if Flip or Snow get in foul trouble. Can only help.

What are your thoughts on Larry Hughes playing in game 6? Any chance this could ‘mess up chemistry’? Even though I do remember the Cavs w/Hughes handing the Pistons a solid loss during the season…
