Well, only one of the three Game 7s was up to the task of being entertaining. While Suns-Clippers seemed like it might turn out so, there was an unsaid certainty that the Clippers were never really getting back into the game, despite a run here and there.
Still, we agree with the LA Times that Clipper fans have a lot to be proud of, and hopefully aren’t one Sam Cassell Laker signing from falling back into their previous status. There’s much to look forward to, despite what Charles Barkley says.
“Getting to the Western Conference finals one time in 25 years doesn’t mean you’ve turned the corner. You haven’t even gone halfway down the block.”
We love Charles, but this is wrong on three levels. First of all, they didn’t get to the Conference Finals. Secondly, they have too turned the corner. Third of all, the third point.
As for the Suns, they’re confident that they’ll get past Dallas, even though everyone will pick against them. Being the underdog works for them, and – aw, who cares – look what we found!

I think the Suns have a great chance. I just have to hope the Heat can take the Pistons out. If the Suns and the Heat win, I think the Suns take the series.
This season, the Suns beat the Heat by 18 and 9. In that first game they had 47 points in the first quarter. Nash had 12 assists in the first quarter alone. That would be the ideal matchup for the Suns.
I don’t think the Suns will fare to well against the Mavs. First, they can’t just run and gun because the Mavs can do the samething if need be. Second, they don’t play much defense and Dallas can lock them down.
It will be a great series but I still think the Mavs beat them in 5.
The Suns are one of my favorite teams but until they play some defense, they are never going to win a championship period.
Mavs in 5!
The Heat would be the ideal matchup for anyone, Nick.
They have Antoine Walker for God’s sake.
Haha, that’s true…
Antoine Walker is definitely not the best player in the world. Around here we call him the “Black Hole”. But for some reason, he always comes up big in the playoffs.
it’s time to rest those tired legs , steve.
you’ve reached the conference finals . that’s enough achievement.
it’s time for the real contenders to stand up and represent the west in the battle royale vs. the heat.
that is the sun god speaking to steve and his phoenix teammates.
I’ve been a Mavs fan since the Jim Jackson, Jason Kidd, and Jamal Mashburn days…so I’ve seen a lil bit, been pissed most of the time…but one things for sure..Steve Nash can’t win big games. Do we need to see him choke again? The answer is YES..you choked the Mavs before, you’ve choked the Suns already…go for the hat trick Steve!!! GO MAVS!!!
