Larry Brown is still doing his job

by The Cavalier on June 9, 2006

paul davis.pngThe Knicks were apparently upset that Larry Brown left the Orlando draft camp a day early, which is strange considering they don’t want him there anyway.

“I’ve seem them all, I know them all,” Brown said of the camp’s participants before leaving the complex at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. “I can tell you everything about them.”

“I’m doing my job,” he said. [Hilarious Isiah] Thomas declined to comment.

He may have declined, but Denver coach and Brown friend George Karl did, stating that coaches can be “paranoid and emotional”. Clearly he was speaking of other coaches – not himself.

His point is valid, though. We felt it may go this way, and the pendulum is starting to swing Larry’s way. Let the guy go already – he has at least 2 or 3 solid years of franchise and player destruction left in him, and by tying him up all summer, you’re only depriving others.

Peter Vecsey adds a gleeful 700 words that this is all his fault, and that the Knicks should be praised for managing to stay in the headlines.
