Mark Cuban is everywhere

mark cuban letterman.pngMavs owner and rich person Mark Cuban went on David Letterman’s show last night, and spent most of the time talking. During those moments he wasn’t talking, he was busy listening.

Cubes wore a Ben Roethlisberger jersey, since he’s from Pittsburgh and all. Doesn’t seem totally fair – what about the poor motorcycle – who’s wearing its jersey?

Anyway, Mark had plenty to say about plenty of things, including the rules changes, which we had no idea he was taking credit for.

“I really got involved to outlaw all the handchecking and all the beating up of guys on the perimeter, so now the game’s gotten a lot smoother, so you’ve got superstars like Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki who can take the ball to the hoop without all of that old Knicks ball, the old Pat Riley stuff, where they’d just beat up on people.”

Note his slick way of throwing Dirk in with LeBron and Wade, and in the same sentence bashes Riley’s old coaching style. Make sure you note it. Did you note it?

Good, now that you’ve noted it, disregard it. It’s not significant at all. In fact, the whole interview was insignificant. He said nothing. We expect better of you, Mark Cuban.

That said, he noted in his blog that if you’re looking for better Cuban antics, you should go buy Like Mike 2: Streetball, in which he has second billing as “Coach”.

Shoot – we can’t believe we have to go rent this now. We actually liked the first one, but that had the surprisingly charismatic Bow-Wow and the always solid Jonathan Lipnicki.

sad though that the world owes so much to the “Cubes” (according to him anyways)
