Real World 1-on-1: The Cavalier vs Solar Power

by The Cavalier on June 15, 2006 · 18 comments

solar power.pngWe went and played hoops this morning with Jones on the NBA, and although there was no 1-on-1 to be played, there was one definitive winner, and that was the almighty sun, which shone its mighty rays down with great fury.

What to add? We played on the same team, and then on opposing teams. The one sure thing is that this morning we witnessed the greatest rebounding point guard of all time. Before he got there, we were witness to the typical whiny guys who take 15 minutes to start the game you can find on courts across the nation.

We soundly beat them, which was followed by a lot of sweat and sunburn. Right now our mom is reading this and going “Why didn’t you put on suntan lotion? What’s wrong with you? Your sister had a melanoma spot, you idiot.”

To you, dear mother, we say, “We did use suntan lotion – the damn global warming burnt through it and now we’re dying and delirious, and it’s laid out for the world to see on our blog.”

Hah! Like your mom has time to be concerned with your skin condition. She’s watching babies!

I’d rather go sit in the sun for another 2 hours than watch soccer.

Oh and ColonelT, I’m fully aware of my status in life and place in the official rankings.

That said, at least I’m not Dad.

I swear that point guard idolized Moses (Fo, Fo, Fo) Malone when he was younger.

Those first guys we played against were the Pistons – they were all offended that they’d been beaten.

14 The Cavalier June 15, 2006 at 3:23 pm

Becky I have no idea what manbearpig is.

15 Derek June 15, 2006 at 5:32 pm

C’mon now Cav..the King of Mamba should know what Manbearpig is!! Manbearpig is “half-man, half-bear and half-pig,” or half-man and half-bearpig. It is also suggested that he might be half pig, half man-bear. This is all according to Al Gore of course.
