If you hadn’t heard, awhile back the Lakers were granted their very own D-League franchise that’ll play down in Anaheim.
They’re the first team that’s been allowed sole ownership over one of these, and they’re taking the quest to name the thing to the fans.
A poll on the Laker homepage lets you pick from among the following.
L.A. D-Dogs
L.A. D-Fenders
L.A. Caliente
L.A. Breakers
L.A. Next
L.A. Sensation
L.A. Buss or
L.A. Evolution
If you can find this alleged poll over there, more power to you. All we see is 8000 different articles about Kobe’s shot against PHX, which they’re dubbed “The Shot”, in a stunning show of disrespect for Michael Jordan and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s our special torture, not PHX’s.
It doesn’t matter anyway – there’s only one name that fits, and it ain’t the Busses, the Devean Georges, or even the Kobes. Are we right, here?
UPDATE: An actual reading of the article shows the voting starts on Monday. Still, the latest in the “News” section is like from November. Isn’t it time for an update? It’s almost February!

more that proven himself! He has made changes in all
the areas that the press feels it necessary to whine about. Kobe is the best NBA player and is neck
in neck with MJ which I might add, you people in the relentless press even
tried and tried until you finally got dirt on Micheal Jordan. Get a real job and stop using your position to put down others when you only wish you were one of the great ones! LA is the best and
whatever they name the newest LA team, it will be the best just like the 3 time World Champion Los Angeles Lakers!!! We got Phil and we got Kobe so deal with it. LA is back and will only get better!!!!!!!
