lol @ “t the tender age of 47 he (ainge) already has two grandchildren.”
uh, maybe because he’s a mormon and those cats breed like rabbits?
The soccer you may been thinking of was probably either the UEFA Cup Final (between Europe’s top two pro club teams) that was around 3 weeks ago. Or those commercials ESPN has been running, often during NBA games.
Anyway, it looks pretty gloomy for the US team, as it first has to finish top two in a very talented round-robin group (Italy, Czech Rep, & Ghana) and as second place finishers they would be rewarded with facing Brazil in the second round. (like anyone cares)
Or, you could have just been having nightmares about Manu Ginobli…kicking Raja Bell in the face.
How much of this world cup crap is going to be televised? Honestly, I could care less, but I hear that Steve Nash is going to be in attendance on Saturday (England vs Paraguay) so, ya know, another reason to live.
There have been a lot of “friendlies” the past couple months – the World Cup teams are tuning up for the tourney by playing crap teams. Like the beginning of the NCAA season.
The real games start Friday. And I’m thoroughly stoked.
(And yeah, there’s no hope for the US team. I predict they will get out of their group – barely – but Brazil ain’t losing this summer.)
Every game is televised, I’m pretty sure either on ESPN or ABC. Best part of World Cup being televised: no commercials during game. Go Ivory Coast!
henry over at true hoop is wrong… mavs in 6
Dude this ain’t right. Both the shirtless part and the part where he’s with Heather Locklear.
