LeBron James is a Cavalier

andrew bynum.pngFor the believers, sit back and remain civilized and/or satisfied.

For the non-believers, start working on your LeBron trade demand rumors for January and February.

For those of you who came here through a Google search for “Jessica Alba ass”, you’re at the wrong site.

We’re on our way out the door - more later, as soon as we determine which way the media is spinning this to reflect badly on the Cavaliers and Cleveland.

(Thanks to John for the heads-up.)

UPDATE: Linkage to Farlane’s LeBron Comix this morning (we’re writing this UPDATE on Sunday) - this is the first time we’ve ever been featured on a pie chart, and it’s as amazing a feeling as we always imagined. (Boney, it looks like you’ve got a little shout, too.)

Great, more epic Prince-James battles in the Central which will in turn generate even better cliches. On that note, is the Central really that deep of a division, or is NBA just getting deeper? yay!

Steven A Smith just reported that today is, in fact, opposite day and that Lebron will not be signing an extension with the Cavaliers. Instead he will sign a minimum salary contract with the Arkansas Rimrockers.

it’s official . lebron finally accepted gilbert’s under the table offer of 1/2 of the cavaliers team and a starring role in the remake tv’s wkrp in cincinati.

I knew it all along. And if you question me, I’ll deny sending nervous emails to The Cavalier.

Now, it’s winning time.

or the reason why the Cavs won’t win the title this year is because of all the distraction from LeBron not immediately accepting the extension.

9 The Cavalier July 9, 2006 at 11:48 am

Dude you hate the Cavs!

10 Boney24 July 9, 2006 at 2:10 pm

Come on man, I can’t hate the Cavs anymore considering Detroit is actually considering signing Flip Murray. Come on Cav, give me some good news about Flip Murray.

BTW, thanks for the pub on the front page.

Boney is a closet Laker fan.

12 Boney24 July 9, 2006 at 3:28 pm

How am I a closet Lakers fan when I bleed Piston Red, White and Blue? Come on now…

Actually, I’ve been hearing Lamar Odom and cash considerations for LeBron trade rumblings…any truth to those rumors?

Marc Stein pulls some Lebron truths out of his TruthBox.

“or the reason why the Cavs won’t win the title this year is because of all the distraction from LeBron not immediately accepting the extension.”
-WTF?! thats just stupid.. hahahah, oh no stop with the excuses you hate lebron big time dont know why.. lol

15 The Cavalier July 9, 2006 at 5:47 pm

Yeah I agree with Stein - if we’re talking legacy, he has a chance to make one across all of sports in Cleveland, as opposed to just the NBA anywhere else.

Check Terry Pluto’s column today - he reminds everyone in NY/LA that no matter how hard it is to believe, LeBron actually likes his hometown.

16 farlane July 9, 2006 at 6:03 pm

You were gonna get a pie chart whether he signed the extension or not, Cav.

I will say that this one is probably better than the “methods of suicide the Cavalier will choose” comic that would have run if he decided to turn it down. (although the graphic for “climb into trash compactor with complete LeBron bobblehead collection” was pretty funny)

I have to say that LeBron’s signing w/ Cleveland is a big defeat for the people who believe it doesn’t matter if it’s not in NY or LA.

17 t-bone July 9, 2006 at 6:10 pm

now will lebron bring cleveland a world’s championship?

18 Boney24 July 9, 2006 at 6:20 pm

It was a joke schizo…you know, how Cav joked about how we should all get our trade rumors ready for january?

sheesh….

19 schizo July 10, 2006 at 1:57 am

yes i know boney24, u know how sensitive i am regarding lebron.

20 Boney24 July 10, 2006 at 9:10 am

LeBron will look nice wearing the blue and gold in the 2012-2013 NBA season.

Keep telling yourself that it’s not a big deal…in 4 seasons the NYK will be poised to make a run at LBJ. Way to go Isiah.

(Before you flame, know that the contents of this post are 100% sarcastic, and I’m not serious…ok schizo?)

21 Stuart Dumbascott from ESPeeN July 10, 2006 at 10:11 am

The cavaliers are gonna switch their colors to blue and gold just cuz lebron says so? BooYank myself. I mean Booyah. I can make this my deep interspective peece on lebraun for the 10:32 Sportyscenter. Thanks Boney

Jonathan Ross is dubbed "risque" by Ofcom but not in breach of rules over an interview with David Cameron…
