While the LeBron James Experience is busy getting bigger every day in China, back here in the States, we’re feeling a bit left behind.
If you’re probing into that sentence, trying to find out exactly what it means, we’d like to join you for a bit, because we have no idea, either.
Anyway, Joe Dumars is going to the Hall of Fame, and his old backcourt mate, Isiah Thomas, has been chosen to do his intro speech. Nobody really knows what Isiah’s been up to since the old Bad Boys days (except for not pressuring women for sex at work), so perhaps this ceremony will give everyone some insight.
Here’s where there would be some quoted text from the article. Normally, we’ll do this in order to lengthen the post without actually having to come up with words on our own.
Often, since these words come from other, more professional sources, it allows us to subtley make you think you’re reading something by an educated and/or literate person. You see, even though they’re someone else’s text, since it’s printed here, you can theoretically walk away from your computer or mobile internet device with the impression we wrote them.
This is only a theory, remember, but it’s a sound one, having worked on at least our mom and our mom’s friend.
Yeah, the reason we did that is because what we’d written was already longer than the whole article we were linking to. This is the danger that comes with deciding on your topic before actually reading about what you’re going to write about.
How was this peek behind the curtain? Enlightening? Boring? Nauseating?
If you can’t tell, we’re a little distracted with Who Shot Mamba?, and thus can’t give you the full attention you so dearly crave. We know we’ve kinda said that in every post for the last two weeks (plus), but that’s because it’s true.
This odd period will all be worth it for you, and we may even live through it, too. Teases: the Who Shot Mamba? site itself is up (although there’s some weird redirections going on right now), and there’s another screenshot out there somewhere, if you look for it hard enough.
(btw, until this movie is done shooting, we recommend going over to TrueHoop if you need to know everything going on in the NBA. Oooh – and Mavs Moneyball is kicking major ass with the latest Carnival of the NBA this morning, too.
Maybe lots of you go there (and there) already, anyway. That’s not to say you shouldn’t go other places too, or that you should stop coming here. We don’t want to control your life.
We’re not that controlling, really. Just ask the crew on the film – at least the ones we haven’t fired already, which is like, um…well, there’s gotta be someone.)

Drew Gooden just re-upped with Cleveland at $23 million for 3 years.
That is a phenomenal price for Drew. Much better than the $10 million per he wanted.
Wow, that’a a perfect deal on Gooden. Way to go Ferry on the playing hardball thing.
He’s no Anderson Varejao
I hope I can get a plasma truthbox.
