WHO SHOT MAMBA IPHONE

The 2006-2007 NBA Preview is here

Training camps open next week, which means we only have a few more days of the torture that has been this NBA off-season.

We’re convinced the non-news and non-movement of players was karmic payback for the summer Shaq got traded, which had so much news and controversy it felt like the season never actually ended.

Anyway, what this all means is it’s time to preview the 06-07 campaign. You may remember last year, we took a day and did every team. It was all so beautifully spaced out; one per day, M-F, with the last preview coming two days before the season started.

We also carefully did it in order from worst to first, while at the same time reversing everyone’s records and writing the bad teams as good, and the good as bad.

This year, because of a little thing called Who Shot Mamba?, we don’t have the luxury of such intricate planning. By necessity, It’ll be much more random. Truth be told, we wanted to do it all on video, but overexposing oneself before a big film debut is risky.

Anyway, what we can do is tell you the order we’ll be previewing in. This is completely random. While others are impressed by being able to name all the Supreme Court Justices (Did Basketbawful edit that post heavily in the past couple days? Didn’t it used to be a super-long rant about something?), we’ll be impressed if we can name all 30 teams without looking. Here we go:

Toronto, Golden State, PHX, Miami, Cleveland, NYK, New Jersey, Memphis, Minnesota, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Orlando, Boston, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Sacramento, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Indiana…

(we’re struggling right now)

Charlotte, NO/OKC

(those two really were like BAM-BAM)

Utah, Denver, Portland, Washington

(crap – we need one more)

Philadelphia!

Not bad – that took us about four minutes. One other note:

We used the Josh Howard picture above because we just need to express our confusion at this particular ballcap trend. We kinda get the “brand new” style thing, but the straight bill and non-fittage is completely beyond us. Does it not look dumb? It makes him look like he’s five. Is that just us?

Previews will start either today or tomorrow.

The answer is yes, he looks stupid, but I’m 30, what do I know?

GSW being second on your list has to mean something. Something… important.
