The Cavaliers have a new floor

by The Cavalier on September 28, 2006 · 4 comments

As Brian Windhorst informs us via his blog, our beloved Cavaliers have installed a new floor, one our beloved mother called to tell us looks like “a championship floor”.

We like this PHX-esque model way more than the old one, and this is just more evidence of Dan Gilbert’s ongoing attempt to be a really super great owner.

Windhorst says Dan also dumped $3M into overhauling Cavs HQ into an awesome futuristic carnival, complete with infinite flatscreen TVs and “blinking light steps”, which means it now looks exactly like our house, minus the part about it being a house, the “blinking light steps”, and the infinite flatscreen TVs.

Rumor has it (this is like 3rd hand info) that even the Cleveland office of Quicken Loans (like the mortgage company, not the arena) has innumerable TVs throughout the office tuned to ESPN at all times. I guess in case Stuart Scott needs a loan or something.

Too bad MJ can’t come out of retirement and drop 60 on ya’ll at the Q…you know, just to christen the new floor…Just wouldn’t be a Cavalier Floor without experiencing a 50 or over performance from the black cat…

It appears all of the teams that don’t play defense are now using this style of floor…Phoenix…Seattle…Cleveland…who’s next?
